  1. THE ROUND IS HERALDED BY OSCAR THE GROUCH; BLOODY, MARKED, PISSED OFF.

  2. [OOC]
For the last round, Skull was hit with a 14 vs Reflex, which definitely would hit normally. But seeing as I'm Invisible, a 9 vs Skull's Reflex wouldn't hit, thus turning that sucker into a miss and returning me some lovely HP!

    1. Quite right! Open the Gates of Battle should be a missed attack; refunding Red Skull to maximum hit points as well as The Red Baron 8 HP.

  3. Oscar the Grouch pops out of the trashcan with a sword so rusty you need a tetanus shot just looking at it. “Okay, now listen up and listen good. Everyone can GO AWAY! Or I’m going to have to hit you with flaming garbage and festering diseases. Especially you Germans! English and a bit of Spanish are okay, but I keep having to go to babelfish and the wifi is insanely intermittent in the trashcan.”

Oscar swings wildly at the invisible foe, yelling at the thin air, “Yeah, and don’t come back again!”

    Tech:
Standard: Attack Red Skull with Majestic Halo. (14)+8-5=17 vs. 19 miss . Effect: until the end of the encounter, anyone who starts adjacent to Oscar has a Divine Sanctum against them.
    Minor: grab treasure
    Move->minor: Divine challenge Red Skull

  4. OOC: When you get a chance Kurt, please refresh us on the particular's of a Paladin's Divine Sanction. Is it just a basic marking effect? Any punishment effect for ignoring the mark?

ALL HAIL CAPTAIN OSCAR OF THE S.S. MISERABLE SON OF A BITCH.

    [TECH]
Oscar grabs treasure: (1) CAPTAIN'S BLESSING, leaving only the SCORPION BRACERS remaining.

Red Pimp Ernell Respawns at Location (3)

    1. Divine Sanctum is identical to Divine Challenge except that it lasts until the end of my next turn. There is the standard CHA+3 damage for full Paladins and CHA for hybrids.

  5. Have to post quick because I'm running late.
Pimp swaggers up to cookie monster and takes a swing at him, but cookie monster backs away slowly
(Standard Action: Form of the Furious Ram attack, shift to L13, attack 15 vs AC misses, half damage = 9, Cookie is pushed to J12, I shift to K13)
"That's right, you best back off!"
    (Free Action: mark Cookie monster)
"Now all these other fools best back off my booty!"
(Move action, shift back to L13)
(Action point, charge to L15, attack 29 vs AC hits, 19 damage, Elmo is pushed to J15)
Elmo is at 3, Cookie is at 25 and marked by me.

    1. Bookkeeping Note: As a Dwarf, Cookie Monster reduces the push of the attack by 1. However, the attack pushes up to 3 squares, so ... not gonna help him much. I just didnt want you guys thinking I forgot!

I can see Geoff typing his rolls in Roll20 right now, I'll let him take it away and post!

  6. How do you say? It's time to...Man up?
Baron MANfred Von Richthofen stands up (Move) humming B.o.B. song Airplanes.
Standard: cast Arcane Whirlwind on I14 +6 vs Reflex
Cookie Monster /roll 1d20+6 if hit and not killed, slide to H12 Elven Accuracy if miss
    rolling 1d20+6
    (14)+6 = 20

Elmo /roll 1d20+6 if hit and not killed, slide to H16. Elven Accuracy if miss.
    rolling 1d20+6
    (15)+6 = 21

Minor: Slide Cookie Monster 3. Once more into the drink Googly Eyed Freak!

    1. If Elmo gets a save after being unconscious, he's prone at I16, he rolled a 13. If he doesn't get a save, he's with Cookie Monster in the drink.

    2. OOC: Sesame Strasse

I don't believe unconscious creatures are entitles to saves to avoid hazardous terrain. Here's the thing, you will find that WotC designers never really anticipated on having repeated (20+) PC deaths in an encounter, so some rules are a little weird or vague in that area. The Druid Sentinal animal companion, for example.

Unless someone can quote Rules Compendium stating otherwise, Team Sesame Street I'm afraid ...

!!! YOU HAVE LOST THE LEAD !!!

      Ernie Respawns at Location (3)

    3. As a quick side note, the Baron started his turn adjacent to Oscar and so is under divine sanctum. I don't think the -2 affect any rolls, but the 8 points of damage the Baron takes is still there (don't have time to look up totals right now.)

      Delete
    4. Oh and assume Oscar says something offensive, I don't have time to think of a comeback.

      Delete
    5. Yes thank you Kurt! The penalty doesn't affect the outcomes, but Red Baron is burned by the searing holiness of OSCAR THE GROUCH. He is down to 16 HP.

  7. TO CLARIFY:

THE CAPTAIN'S CABIN I SURROUNDED BY IMPENETRABLE, INDESTRUCTIBLE WALLS OF LAMINATE BRONZEWOOD. THE SAVING THROW ROLLED FOR ELMO TO AVOID FALLING INTO HELL-LAVA WAS ENTIRELY SUPERFLUOUS.

THE ONE KNOWN AS COOKIE MONSTER IS FAR LESS FORTUNATE AND STILL HAS NO HOPE OF SALVATION.

  8. Ernie appears, duckless, but definitely not gormless! He skips across the deck, whirling his plastic, CTW-approved, sword around in playful circles.

    "Hey, Oscar! How's it going?"
"GO AWAY, can't you see I'm trying to make a mess?"
"Oh, don't be like that! I'll get you a nice, dirty, torn pimp hat if you give me a minute! Oh, Elmo, lemme help you up."

He charges with the plastic sword, skewering the Pimp! After the resultant shockwave of fluff, felt, leather, and feathers clears, nobody is left the same!

    [Tech]
Aura: still up, since Ernie never actually "dropped unconscious"
    Move: walk to J-12
Minor: Healing Word on Elmo (who is dying in K-14, for those who may not have gotten the memo)
Effect: heals (4)+5 HP; Elmo is at 9 HP
Standard: Charge to K-14, using Ardent Strike and Holy Smite against Pimp
Holy Smite Effect: Pimp takes 6 radiant damage, will be dazed if I hit
       Attack: (9)+7+1 (charge) -2 (cover) = 15 vs AC 14 - HIT!!
Hit: (7)+4 damage, gets my Divine Sanction, and is dazed until the end of my next turn
ACTION POINT!! Fog of Insects, in a close burst 3
       Hit: (5+8)+2 = 15 damage
       Miss: half damage = 7
Effect: Ernie gains a +2 power bonus to all defenses until the end of the encounter

Dazed Pimp: (4)+4 = 8 vs Fort 16 - Miss! Pimp is at 4 HP
Bloody Baron: (8)+2 +4 (Heroic Effort) = 14 vs Fort 12 - Hit! Baron is at 1 HP!
Skull: (17)+2 vs Fort 13 - Hit! Skull is at 12 HP.
Elmo: (20) - CRITICAL HIT!! Elmo is gibbed at -13 HP

    Free Action: Shadow Warp
Effect: slide Oscar to L-18, outside of the burst effect

Wow. That uh, went completely according to plan... yeah...

  9. Cookie Monster wanders around the ship for a moment until he spots a stranger standing all by himself. He rushes up to the shiny red man and offers him a glass of milk before smashing a large cookie over his head.

    Tech
Move to the base of the stairs at K5

Minor: Place Oath of Enmity on Crimson Dynamo

    Standard: Angelic Alacrity
Effect: Shift 2 onto the stairs (only a shift of 1 is preventable onto difficult terrain)
Attack: Roll twice +7 vs AC 12
Rolls are 2 (drink the hooch, but in the spirit of sharing, the drink is given to CD) and 16, so 23 vs 12
Damage is 4d6+6 brutal 1, Roll20 gives (6+3+4+4)+6 for 23 damage, dropping him to -8, just in time to Respawn!

Since I'm not his ally, I assume I can't roll his spawn point.

    ReplyDelete
  10. In a puff of fire, smoke, and burning rubles, the Crimson Dynamo reappears at spawn point 3...
"In Mother Russia, spawn point rolls you!"

    Tech:
Standard - Elementally escalated bolt +6 vs Reflex
    Cookie Monster - (2)+6 = 8
Ernie (20)+6 = WHY DO I HATE ERNIE SO MUCH? 2 TURNS, 2 VICIOUS FIERY BEATINGS.
1d12+1d10+1d6+11=39. Ernie is a smoldering pile of stuffing, unconscious and dying at K14.
Effect - Shift 3 spaces towards...
    Move - 6 spaces towards...
Minor - pick up MY PRECIOUS!!! The Crimson Dynamo looks mighty fine in some Fire Scorpion Bracers.
Free - Suggest that the next muppet standing on K14 will face a similar fate to the last two.

OOC - Looks like the map and the kill counts are gonna need some updating. :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. MAP AND KILL COUNT UPDATED. SESAME STRASSE NOW PREPARES FOR THE BLITZKRIEG OF RED SKULL.

THE DUNGEON MASTER DECREES THAT THE TREASURE CHEST IS NOW EMPTY.

OOC: Bookkeeping Note: Cookie Monster's attacks suffer a penalty or being marked, but that obviously doesn't affect a critical hit and he is too far from Ernell to trigger the punishment effect.

  12. While holding an ancient Nordic rune of Invisibility, the Red Skull lurches forwards towards the green Paladin Oscar. As his blade draws near, he whispers, "Bettl mich für Mitleid, Narr!"

*Translation courtesy of Herr Doktor Arnim Zola: "Beg for mercy, fool!"

Seeing that the fool Oskar did in fact beg for mercy, for one second the cruel Skull's hand was stayed, causing him to miss. What an awful trick by an awful smelling creature. "Die nächste Zeit, Oskar," Skull mutters before rubbing an amulet around his neck and disappearing near the dying Ernie.

*Translation provided by Herr Doktor Arnim Zola: "Next time, Oskar..."

    [TECH]
*Standard: Luring Strike vs Oscar, before the attack Skull is able to shift 1 square (K8), +7(+2 CA)= +9 vs AC = 11 vs AC 20 MISSSSSS

*Minor: Aegis of Assault (MARK) Oscar the Grouchy One

*Move: Fey Step to K13. Eladrin Swordmage Advance allows me to make an MBA vs super-dying Elmo
    MBA vs Elmo's AC, +6(+2 CA)= +8 vs AC = 21 vs AC 17(22-5 Unconscious) HIT!
Elmo takes 1d8+3 damage for a total of: 7 DAMAGE! Dropping him to -18 GIBBED!

*FREE: Because of Vanishing Blade, when Skull hits with a Melee attack, he gets to teleport 3 squares. Skull teleports to square E16 on the Quarterdeck.

    1. [Tech] Note about my Aegis of Assault Mark Thing:
Typical -2 to hit anyone but me. Aegis/Mark persists until I use my Aegis power on someone else, I die, or Oscar dies. Enforcement is that while Oscar is within 10 squares of me (Line of Sight not mentioned as requirement for this teleportation power that I have) as an Immediate Reaction I teleport to a square adjacent to him and make a free MBA (and potentially teleport another 3 squares on a hit because of Vanishing Blade)

      [TECH]
Mark punishment for 8 radiant damage, dropping him to only 4 HP left!

  13. Elmo, as usual, loves his goldfish.

Move: Open Gates of Battle move portion to K16 (because of this, I avoid OA from Pimp)
Standard: Open Gates of Battle on Dynamo - +6 vs Ref, 2d10 + 5 + 1d8 (furious assualt) + 1d10 (Dynamo is at full HP I think) damage
Free: If I hit, Flurry on Pimp for 8 damage

OtGB: (6)+6 vs. Reflex 11; hit!
      for (10)+(5)+5 +(4) +(3) = 27 damage! Dropped at -1 HP!
and Pimp takes 8 damage from WILDLY FLAILING MUPPET ARMS. He dropped at -4 HP.

Man, too bad about the lack of Killing Spree.
