  2. Like an angel of bloody, violent death, Elle rises behind Teurama and strikes her down.

    ***TECH***

Spawn in the lower left corner (#1). No card drawn.
    Move to I15.
Free - Drop 2 shrouds on Teurama (per Targeted for Death effect).
Minor - Declare Temura as my quarry.
Standard: Open the Gates of Battle! +5 vs Reflex (3d10 +4d8 +3d6 5 damage)

Use Heroic Effort if it makes a difference.

On a miss, Teurama still takes 1d6 damage from a shroud.

If I hit and Teurama is still conscious at 5 HP or less, then she'll catch Flurry of blows for 5 damage too. Otherwise, I'll use Skipping Stone Flurry to ping Euryale for 7.

    1. AND, as a free action, end the infusion's effect for 8 temp HP.

  3. I have been told to keep the pressure on!

Drawing upon the power of many snakes (you DVAS are poseurs!), Euryale takes a moment to compose herself before dishing out the venom.

    Tech:
Minor: Healing word on self (healing surge + 1d6, +2 to attack until my next turn)
Move: trade down for Minor to curse Black Mamba
    Standard: Eldritch Blast vs. Black Mamba: +6 (+2 for heal) = +8 vs Ref, 1d10 + 5 + 1d6 (curse) + 2 (Arcane Reserves) damage

No OAs on me due to Charioteer.

  5. Wow 2 turns at once, and I only posted this 1.5 hours ago.

    Elle's turn:
Oops forgot the Elle self gibbed.
The attack: (16)+5=21 vs. 13 hit. The shrouds can't be used on a monk power, so damage is 3d10+4d8+5. Damage: (5)+(3)+(8)+(6)+(6)+(2)+(4)+5=39 So Teurama is at -12 and the flurry leave Euryale @ 1 hp. Elle get 8 temp hp and no AC bonus.

    Euryale's turn:
The healing is for 8+(6)=14 so she's now at 15 hp, but still bloody. The Eldritch Blast attack (20)+8=28 vs. 11 crit (really another, the dice seem to love you guys). Damage is 23 leaving Black Mamba @ -10.

    1. okay slight correct on Elle's turn, one of the d6s was the hunter's quarry from a feat, so that will hit. (4) extra leaving Teurama @ -16 so she's gibbed. Tie game!

      Delete
    2. Except Black Mamba self gibs, so advantage Badasses. Does she draw a card and where does she start?

      Delete
    3. RESIST 5 ALL!!! I'm still in this, Kotaresh save me!

Also, deal 5 cold AND ANOTHER 5 necrotic damage to Mountain Snake for ending her turn next to Teurama the Lich, correct?

      Delete
    4. Will be update in next map update. Teurama is still @ -11 hp and @ location J15.

  6. Work pulled a heinous sneak attack on Ian at 5AM today - fairly certain half of y'all had no clue that time existed. So here's the schtick we discussed last night. Black Mamba drops into her deadly "Lightning Stance".

    [Tech]
    Spawn: no card, at Q-16
    Move: walk to P-17
Standard: Lightning Breath on M-15 to O-17
       Attack: +7 vs Kotaresh's Reflex 15, +5 (cover) vs Euryale's Reflex 12
Hit: 3d8+10 lightning damage, +1d12 from Vorpal power if either attack hits
Miss: half damage (which I think benefits from +1d12 if one hits and the other misses?)
Effect: until the end of BM's next turn, whenever an enemy hits her with a melee attack, she pushes 1 and deals 5 lightning damage. (Sustain Minor)
Free: in the likely event that Kotaresh or Euryale get bloodied or drop, Black Mamba will probably use Lifeblood, pending specifics from Ian.

    1. Lightning Breath, I'm thinking, can't gain the benefits of vorpal since it's not a Weapon attack, right?

It's ok James, you're bound to make mistakes running two characters.

      Delete
    2. Unless the text has changed recently, there's nothing in the Vorpal description limiting the trigger, effect, or enhancement to "weapon powers". It's why most of this team love their weaplements. Black Mamba made the Lightning Breath attack using her Vorpal Dagger as the sorcerer implement.

*pushes glasses up bridge of nose*

      Delete
    3. Reading over the Vorpal description (and being reminded of the dagger usage), I am forced to concede to your logic.

      Let the decapitations commence!

      Delete
  7. James has you there Ross. In the next iteration of this you probably want to change that (+4d8 and +12 would be nuts).

    The attack:
    Kotaresh: (9)+7=16 vs. 15 hit.
    Euryale: (17)+7-2=22 vs. 12 hit.
Damage: (7)+(5)+(1)+10+(4)=27 points of damage. This leaves Kotaresh at -5 and Euryale at -12. Black Mamba's on a Killing Spree.

Let me know if Black Mamba uses her other ability and then let me know Cottonmouth's turn.

    2. Actually at one of the Baltimore tournaments there was a Hexblade character who ended up with a Vorpal Quad Damage Blade of Annihilation.

      It was AWESOME!

    3. "Black Mamba's on a Killing Spree."

Kurt, your deadpan textual delivery is totally voiced in my head by Ben Stein.

    4. Per Twitter: Black Mamba's use of Lifeblood gives her 5 temp HP. Still in P-17.

  8. This is not a paid political announcement.

If you haven't already done so... go vote.

  9. OOC: Map updated? O-Ren has 0 targets?!?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Dead Bodies everywhere? O-Ren searches for the Body of Ross. MUST. CONFIRM. KILL.

    Tech:
    Spawn at location 1,
Aspect of the Soaring hawk (minor action)
Move adjacent to Elle at I16 (move)
Cut off Ross's head with a Standard Action (aka the Coup de grace):
+10 vs his unconscious AC, 1d8+5+1d8(PK) damage and dual attack on a hit (free):
    +8 vs AC, 1d6+5.

I shouldn't need much more than that...but if I somehow NEED to use my vorpal, I shall...

    ReplyDelete
  11. It is now time to KILL ROSS!
(13)+10=23 vs. 15-5=10 Hit. That makes it 21 damage leaving Tuerama at -32, leaving her dead. But to beat a dead horse, the Dual Attack: (17)+8=25 vs. 15-5=10 Hit for another 11 which now leaves Tuerama at -43. O-Ren has KILLED ROSS!

But that extra gib is washed out as Sidewinder self gibs. Per previous e-mail James is going to draw a card until he tells me otherwise. So Sidewinder starts with the Thief. But as Sidewinder only has cloth armor there's no change to AC but, DEAR GOD MAN PUT ON SOME PANTS.

    1. Not much has changed, so I'll wait to refresh the map until after the next turn.

    2. Thanks for ending adjacent, NOW FEEL MY COLD DEAD LICH HANDS!!!

5 cold and 5 necrotic damage

      Delete
    3. BTW, I will boldly draw a card from the Deck of Mortals at the start of Teurama's next turn.

      Delete
    4. Ending adjacent to your cold dead GIBBED bits? Its worth it.

      Delete
  12. Damn! I was hoping that Thief card would go to someone with, say, scale mail.

Just to double-check, Teurama is no longer a viable target?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You could still attack Teurama, but she is quit gibbed already... She won't score you any more points.

      Delete
  13. So ... we gonna play D&D or what?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Budd appears, staggers down the hallway, then looks down at his hirsute form. "Well, shucks ladies. Ah guess last night musta been a real doozy." He saunters a little further, sits down, and sips a beer. As an afterthought, he uses Mage Hand to high-five his teammates.

    [Tech]
Move: walk from D-16 to F-15
    Move: chug a beer
Minor: mage hand high five team

OOC: It's a little wacky when there aren't targets (and the political Superbowl is on). Unless someone says there's LoS and LoE through that golem, I'll stick with this. Also... do gibbed dungeoneers get removed from the field? That was the impression I got, but if O-Ren takes some damage, swap that beer chug for more Resistive Formula on O-Ren.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. O-Ren has taken 10 damage, and you can get LoS/LoE through the golem, but it provides superior cover.

      Delete
    2. Do you want to redo the turn w/ that info?

      Delete
    3. Really? Sure.

      [Tech]
Move: walk from Q-16 to L-15
      Minor: Resistive Formula on Cottonmouth
Effect: Cottonmouth gains +1 AC until the end of the encounter. She can end this bonus as a free action to gain 9 temp HP.
      Standard: Rotting Doom against Marmaduke.
         Attack: +0 vs Fort 13
         Hit: 5d8+5 necrotic damage
Effect: (yes, even on a miss) Marduk cannot regain hit points until the start of my next turn

      Delete
  15. The golem is "blocking terrain" so I don't think you can gain line of sight. I am pretty sure Marduk is a invalid target of this attack.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good catch, I missed that the golem is blocking terrain not a creature. James I'm going back to your previous turn.

You move, chug, and then toss a resistive beer to Cottonmouth.

Map will be updated in a little bit.

      Delete
    2. Heh, exactly how I pictured it. But! I will always take heinous advantage of DM rulings... The fourth pillar, rules lawyering. :P

  16. Map updated. Marduk's turn. He's bloody and in a secluded alley of the map.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Marduk bows graciously to the deadly deadly golem for his mercy and then offers none to his enemies. Creeping to the teleporter he appears behind BUDD and begins his deadly assault.

{Tech} Ambush trick into the teleporter and appear at 1 and move to F18 and gain CA against Budd
Standard: Charge to F16 and attack Budd. +11 vs. AC 2d8 +7

I will continue my turn after the result of this.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Marduk blinks into existence behind Budd trying to run him through. He rolls (3)+11=14 vs. 15 miss.

Teurama boldly draws the Jester... all attack rolls and saving throws of 5 or less are considered natural ones. KILL ROSS laughs at his impending humiliation.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fffuuuu!!!! No guts, no glory.

Spawn at #4, move next to Mamba, minor action to cast Oath of Enmity prayer

Attack Black Mamba with Oath of the Final Duel
    2d20 +75 vs. AC 14
Hit: 2d12+7 untyped +5 necrotic ; high crit, brutal 2
    Miss: half damage
    Effect: teleport tether

If she is still conscious after the attack, Action Point to attack w/ Whirling Strike

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Attack roll is +7 vs AC. Damn you, autocorrec!

      Delete
  20. Okay, so we have (18) or (10)+75(auto-correct bonus)-68(damn you, auto correct penalty) for a total of 25 vs. 14 Hit. Damage (4)+(4)+7+5=20 hp leaving Black Mamba bloody @ 8 hp.

Now for the Whirling Strike: (18)or(16)+7=25 vs. 14, HIT. Damage (11)+(5)+7+5=28 so Black Mamba is a stain on the floor with -20 hp. A solid gib.

Kotaresh self-gibs. Is he brave enough to draw a card?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah why not, gimme a card.

Kotaresh opens the trunk and stands over it looking in. What card does he find?

(They have a more fun theme than we do, Ross)

    2. The disco ball comes down from the ceiling and you hear "Everybody dance now!" You've drawn the Dancer you can shift 3 squares as a free action at the start of your turn (this includes after you spawn). Now bust a move.

      Delete
    3. Is the center where the Golem started a pit or a wall? I can't seem to find any answers on the map description, other than that the Golem lives in a giant cage.

      Delete
  21. Changed my mind, decided I don't care.

Well I don't know why I came here tonight...I got a feelin' that somethin' ain't right...

    Spawn: At 4
    Free: Shift to O17
    Move: to J16
Standard: Open the Gates of Battle on Cottonmouth. +6 vs Ref. 2d10+5 damage.

I want to see if that hits and how much damage it deals before finishing my turn.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Opening the gates of battle (5)+6=11 vs. 16 miss. I await the rest of your turn.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. These rolls are killing me.

Minor: Sustain Weapon of Astral Flame, Furious Assault, and Flurry of blows against Cottonmouth. +3 vs Ref. 2d10+6, some of it fire damage if it matters.

If the damage rolls on the first two are accidentally amazing and fell her, instead Flurry against Elle for 8.

      Delete
  23. Flurry of blows can only be used with monk powers, so you can't apply it here. The attack (3)+3=6 vs. 16 miss again.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Iron Golem, seeing only Euryale near him, uses the vomit attack on her. (15)+6=21 vs. 15 hit. Euryale is down to -22 gibbing her and reducing her fort by another 1.

Round 4 will be posted soon.
