  3. the Crimson Dynamo has spent his fair share of time in space wessels, and this space wessel is no different. It offers toys for playing and the controls seem easy enough!

  4. Xann, Lord of Storms and Tyranny appears with a thunderous roar. Somewhat surprised by his weak human form, he quickly sets about dominating this strange planar vehicle.

    Noticing what must be the command centre, he sees red--literally and figuratively--the colour of sweet, sweet blood. His hunger knows no bounds as he renders the occupant to a gruesome mess with his new found weapon of plasma.

    OOC: Plasma begets plasma of a different kind...

    Tech:

    Move to E3.

    Draw a weapon card: (1)=plasma rifle

    Fire plasma rifle at Crimson Dynamo, five attacks:
    (11, 16, 15, 6, 11)+6= 5 hits for 25 total fire and lightning damage (needs to resist both to negate. Also not sure if he has cover. If so, only 4 hits for 20 damage).

    Xann instead attacks the mind of Dynamo, attempting to hurl him out of the chair. Dynamo resists, to a point, but cannot stop his hand from slowly lifting towards his head in a forced attack.

    Tech:

    Charm of Misplaced Wrath:
    (7)+6=13 vs Will is a miss.

    Effect. Dynamo makes a basic attack against himself with a +2 on the damage.

    OOC: the power isn't clear on this, but I'd like him to make a ranged basic rather than a melee. It says just "basic" but I'm not sure if I get to choose.

    3. As I'm sure you know, Crimson Dynamo has a much more awesome power that CAN be used as a ranged basic, but I will interpret Charm of Misplaced Wrath's effect such that Crimson Dynamo is the only one who chooses if it IS a ranged basic or not.

    2. How would they know what basic attacks I have? We don't know what they have.
      I think I have to disagree with the ruling here - it says "make a basic attack against a creature of your choice". To satisfy the RAW, the only thing the caster picks is the creature being targeted by the attack. The attack should be a valid attack, but it's entirely possible that a character has no basic attacks that could actually work. If RAW wanted the caster to make the choices, it would say "make a basic attack of your choice against a creature of your choice". We have this power on our team so I recognize that I'd lose this option for us, but it's a Level 1 Encounter with a mandatory effect - let's not make it more abusive than it already is.
      But if we're going to keep your ruling, can you please provide us with a list of all of our opponents basic attack options so that we can make educated choices when we cast the spell?

  7. Scarlet Pimp Ernell slides smoothly out of a cloud of funny smelling smoke and, upon noticing noticing a scraggly looking little scrub loitering about his new '64 he begins to swagger mightily. However, upon getting his stroll on towards the puny Wizard, the pimp becomes distracted by the shinyness of his own shoes and subsequently falls head over heels onto the dusty floor at the wizard's feet.

    Standard: Thunder Hooves Rage against the Crimson Dynamo, +7 vs. AC [9] + 7 = 16. Hit for 3d12 [brutal 2] + 5, use furious assault for an extra 1d12 [brutal 2], for [6+4+6]+5+[12]=33 damage.

    Effect: Lyth is Raging, and she can move through 1 or 2 enemies' spaces during her turn. Whenever she moves through an enemey's space, she deals 1[W] extra damage on her next attack against that enemy that turn.

    And with a flourish of his Alfheimisch blade and his good ol' teleportation rune, The Red Skull appears suddenly adjacent to Lyth and swings his blade and connects, damaging her. Chanting in now-translated ancient Norwegian, the Red Skull raises his Alfheim blade and brings it down upon Lyth's head, downing her, before the Skull vanishes entirely, laughing maniacally as he does so.

  15. The Queen of Slaughter and Retribution materializes, takes a quick glance around, gracefully moves next to the control panel, and hardens her skin. Kathra (or for those who really know her as Kishar) thinks to herself...there is nothing that smells better in the morning than coffee, but a close second comes to transporter vapour of an enemy.

    She gently pulls aside her cloak and pushes a button. Skull appears and she quietly says to him, "I hope this hurts"..."tell me when you get back" and waits with great pleasure for the result.

    Tech: Spawn H5
    Move: Shift adjacent transporter pad H4
    Move: activate transporter pad bringing Red Skull onto Pad 1 (G6)
    Minor: activate my form of the Willow Sentinel.

  18. Kathra look at the Baron as he tries to move her: "They do not call me the Godess of Retribution for nothing." Form of the Willow Sentinel prevents any kind of forced movement the is pull push or slide. I don't move anywhere. No one is telefragged!

    Do you still want to move which would provoke opportunity attack from Kathra?

    Through the infinity of space, perhaps from a black hole, comes the Red Baron, somehow flying his Fokker in space!
    Hal: He is hailing us in German.“Manche Leute nennen mich den Space Cowboy!“
    Hal: Translation, Some people call me the Space Cowboy.
    Hal: He is requesting I queue the Flight of the Valkryies by Richard Wagner.
    Magically the Red Baron appears on one of the telepads.

    Hal: I love that one.
    Summoning an arcane storm inside the spaceship, lightning strikes, The Baron, The Skull, and Kathy Griffen. Then thunder claps, sliding The Baron and Red Skull to new positions.
    Finding himself now next to the Telepad Controller,“ Was ist das?“
    The Red Devil teleports Kathy to H6
    Hal: What are you doing Will?
    The Red Baron runs over to the gun lockers and is overcome with choices, much like reading the menu at Cheesecake
    Factory.

    Standard: Cast Arcane Whirlwind, centering the zone on G6. +6 vs. Reflex
    Vs. Red Skull Hit!
    Vs. Red Baron Hit!
    Vs. Kathy Griffen Hit!

    Minor: Activate Telecontroller targeting Kathy, roll for random: Telepad 3

    1. The Red Baron cannot slide to square H4, it is occupied by a conscious enemy, so the Dungeon Master will slide him to square I5. That will then provoke an opportunity attack from moving to the Weapons Locker area.

      INVALID ACTIONS RESULT IN DUNGEON MASTER'S DECREES!

      OA: (16)+6 vs. AC 15; hit!
      for (6)+(4)+6 {brutal 1} damage, The Red Baron is down with mordenkrad to the head!

  21. OOC: Before I post, the roll against Red Skull for the Arcane Whirlwind was a 14, & didn't include the -5 for him being invisible. So should he have been slid, or is he still on the teleporter pad?

    1. Based on RAW, he has to make an attack roll. The Compendium uses the example of moving your ally out of an enemy's grasp.
