When a couple of plumbing dungeoneers from Brooklyn take some special mushrooms, all sorts of wacky hijinks follow! But after fireballs, bottomless pits, giant snapping turtles, and huge piranha plants? Musta been a bad trip.
Sidescrolling Map
Creatures can move freely around the map. Bricks, the mushroom platform, and Question blocks block line of effect, but not line of sight.
Geomorphic Tiles
Only the first and last tiles are set. Shuffle the other six tiles (leaving some out - suggest three or four tiles for an average match) and reveal them as the Dungeoneers scroll the map.
Stomp
At the end of each turn, all creatures are immediately pulled down to the next solid surface (in order from top left to bottom right, by rows). Creatures pulled into a pit immediately die. If this forced movement is stopped by another creature occupying a square, the occupying creature takes 10 damage. If the occupying creature is still conscious, the falling creature shifts one square right or left, then continues falling.
Scroll Over
The map is exactly 10 squares wide. Once per turn, a creature entering or starting their turn in the rightmost column of the map pulls each creature in the leftmost column and the entire map itself 1 square to the right. Creatures that cannot be pulled in this way immediately die. The map cannot slide past the Flag Column. Stationary zones do not scroll with the map (they get left behind).
Flag
The first Dungeoneer to enter or start their turn in the Flag Column immediately kills all enemy creatures.
Humiliation
A creature rolling a natural 1 on an attack roll is knocked prone immediately after the attack. Being knocked prone in this way cannot be negated in any way.
Respawn (terrain power)
At-Will
Trigger: You start your turn dead, dying, or begin your first turn of the match.
Effect (no action): If you are dying, you die. You regain all hit points and healing surges, remove all failed death saves, and conditions that don't last through the encounter, refresh all encounter powers and power points, and teleport to an unoccupied space of your choice in the leftmost column.
Killing Spree (terrain power)
At-Will (once per turn)
Trigger: You reduce 2 or more non-minion enemies with at least 1 hit point to 0 hitpoints or fewer during the same turn.
Effect (Free Action): Gain an action point. You may spend more than one action point per encounter, but only one action point per round.
Question Blocks
Once per turn, a Dungeoneer adjacent to a Question Block may spend a minor action to gain a Powerup. Roll a d6 and receive the corresponding Powerup. A Powerup with the Upgrade keyword heals the Dungeoneer to 1 HP above Bloodied, and is lost if the Dungeoneer becomes Bloodied or receives a new Upgrade Powerup.
Super Mushroom (1-2) upgrade
You become size large. Your Stomp damage is doubled.
Fire Flower (3-4) upgrade
Gain resist 10 fire. Your attacks do +1d10 fire damage. On a natural even hit, your target takes 5 ongoing fire damage until one of you drops unconscious.
Super Star (5) boon
Until the start of your next turn, gain resist 20 all and Aura 1: 10 radiant damage.
1-UP Mushroom (6) boon
All opposing teams immediately gain one death.
